Mathilde Wittock has created a unique body of work that is both demanding and accessible, rooted in a vision of design as a tool for ecological, social and sensory transformation. She embodies a generation of creators who refuse to compromise between aesthetics, sustainability and technology, and who place the intelligence of materials at the heart of a new narrative: that of a living, regenerative and deeply human design.

Trained at the prestigious Central Saint Martins in London, where she studied biodesign and industrial design, Mathilde honed her craft through experiences at influential studios such as Pentagram, Atelier Van Lieshout and Futurewave. These collaborations enabled her to develop a critical understanding of the impact of design on the environment and to fully integrate sustainability issues into her work.

Mathilde Wittock stands out for her sensory approach to design. For her, an object must awaken the senses: sight, touch, hearing and even smell. She firmly believes that the emotional dimension of a product is enhanced when it appeals to our sensory perceptions, creating a deeper relationship between individuals and everyday objects.

Guided by the principles of circular design, she designs her creations with their entire life cycle in mind. She has a particular interest in regenerative materials, whether they come from recycled waste or biological processes, convinced that sustainability can only be achieved if materials can be renewed and support continuous use.
